The MTU Display 11 (DIS 11) is a marine-grade visualization and monitoring unit intended for BlueLine electronic systems, designed to provide the operator with clear, stable, and fast access to essential engine and propulsion system operating information.
In typical installations, the DIS 11 can be fitted both at the Local Operating Panel (LOP) in the engine room and at remote control positions such as the main bridge, open station, or flybridge. This ensures a consistent and uniform monitoring interface across all operating locations on board the vessel.
The DIS 11 enables structured and enhanced supervision of key engine operating parameters, system statuses, general condition messages, as well as warnings and alarms. Thanks to its increased display capacity and level of detail, it supports early detection of deviations, rapid situation assessment, and effective operator response to abnormal conditions or operating limit exceedances.
As an integral part of the MTU electronic architecture, the DIS 11 exchanges data with control and automation modules via CAN bus communication, ensuring reliable, consistent, and synchronized system information throughout the installation. This contributes to improved operational safety, optimized maintenance planning, and precise control of the propulsion system during all phases of vessel operation.
