The MTU Display 1 (DIS 1) is a visualization and monitoring unit designed for demanding marine environments, intended to provide the operator with clear, stable, and fast access to essential MTU system information. Within BlueLine installations, it is used as a monitoring display both at the Local Operating Panel (LOP) in the engine room and, where the configuration requires, at remote control stations, presenting information in a structured format to support operation during navigation, maneuvering, and continuous service.

The DIS 1 enables the display of relevant powertrain values and statuses (engine and, depending on integration, gearbox/reduction gear), as well as alarm and system status messages, helping operators detect deviations early, recognize events quickly, and respond appropriately to abnormal conditions or limit exceedances.

As part of the MTU electronic architecture, the DIS 1 integrates into the control and supervision system via bus-based communication (typically CAN-based within these solutions), ensuring consistent data exchange with the associated automation and control modules and maintaining a coherent, user-friendly operating interface.
