MTU ECS-Uni system is old, strong and technically complex system which is used mainly in 396 and 1163 engine series. We repaired some LOP´s and ECS from this system in the past for different worldwide customers.
Some weeks ago we received again a LOP to be fixed, from a greek company which use our exchange and repair service very often.
In this case, this unit which we have already repaired, had different problems. We had to repair some PCB inside, but apart of that, it had both LCD damaged.
We want to show you the compatible LCD which we had to adapt some years ago to give a solution to the original LCD part number, which was already obsolete: 5275360039 / 5005360439 part number.
By reverse engineering process and after a lot of tests we finally found a solution adapting our LCD to replace the original old unit. It looks really good as you can see…
In the video you also can see also a test of MERC2 motherboard from a swiss company which use railway applications, in this case ECS-396/R with special alarm code. Again a board which is obsolete as spare part, so only repair is possible, or as we agreed with this customer, exchange by repaired unit from our stock.
