The MTU Display 4 (DIS 4) is a robust visualization and monitoring unit engineered for demanding marine environments, delivering clear, reliable access to essential MTU system information. In BlueLine installations, it is typically used as a monitoring display at the Local Operating Panel (LOP) in the engine room and—when required—at remote control stations, ensuring consistent, structured information during navigation, maneuvering, and continuous operation.

The DIS 4 presents key powertrain values and operating states (engine and, depending on system integration, gearbox), together with warnings/alarms and overall system status, supporting early detection of deviations and fast, appropriate response to abnormal conditions. Integration into the MTU electronic architecture is achieved via bus-based communication (CAN), enabling consistent data exchange with control and automation modules and a coherent operator interface across the vessel.
