The MTU Display 3 (DIS 3) is a visualization and monitoring unit designed for demanding marine environments, providing the operator with clear, fast, and stable access to essential MTU system information. In BlueLine installations, it is used as a monitoring display both at the Local Operating Panel (LOP) in the engine room and—where the configuration requires—at remote control stations, presenting information in a structured format to support operation during navigation, maneuvering, and continuous service.

The DIS 3 displays key powertrain values and statuses (engine and, depending on integration, gearbox), as well as alarm and system status messages, enabling early detection of deviations and an effective response to abnormal conditions or limit exceedances.

As part of the MTU electronic architecture, it integrates via bus-based communication (CAN) with the control and automation modules, ensuring consistent data exchange and a coherent operator interface.
