Tester Vcc-CAN for monitoring MTU Display from Mikrap

Many times, when we have to check electronic units that have failed at some point, reported by a customer, when we receive them in the workshop for service, it turns out that they don’t fail, the issue doesn’t appear during the normal test on the workbench, which indicates that the failures occur randomly and sporadically, sometimes very intermittently, making diagnosis and repair difficult.

To facilitate the work in our laboratory and force the operation of the equipment we so frequently repair, such as MTU Displays, at Restoretronic we designed a specific tester for these units, which we call Vcc-CAN. With this tester, we can keep the equipment running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, conditioning its working time, forcing equipment restarts to measure and monitor key moments of equipment startup with specific consumption measurements, monitoring strategic voltage points on the board, checking communication signals via CAN bus, etc.

All these parameters are configurable and reviewable thru special software and hardware, where, as seen in the video, each monitoring unit can be configured for times, consumption alarms and other variables. We can have many units being checked at the same time, ensuring correct operation at all times or “catching” the problem at a given moment when certain pre-established conditions are not met. If the equipment fails in different ways, we would receive a notification about the type of problem that has occurred, for example, an excess of consumption, a lack of consumption, an intermittent communication cut, a failure in a restart, failures in the backlight section, or any other type of failure that could occur. Then we would receive a notification that this equipment has not met the operating conditions, and we can proceed to investigate the origin and causes of the failure.
This type of tester is unique in the world, specially designed and customized by Restoretronic to streamline and guaranty our repairs, reaching a point of specialization on MTU equipment in a very exclusive way.
